Mylor Sessions Summer Sunshine Session – Featuring Larkin Poe and Guests

August 18th

A big tent, in a stunning location, looking out over the water. Great music, bar and delicious food. Our Summer Session promises to be a magical night, whatever the weather.

Larkin Poe are a terrific five piece band from Atlanta, USA, led by soul singing songwriting sisters Rebecca & Megan Lovell. When you attend a Larkin Poe concert, it is impossible not to see and hear that these sisters have soul and musical prowess well beyond their years. At 21 and 23 respectively, Rebecca & Megan Lovell – along with their bandmates, Rick Lollar on electric guitar, Chad Melton on drums, & Robby Handley on bass – are charismatic performers, experienced songwriters, and accomplished musicians. Featuring tight vocal harmonies and dizzying instrumental riffs, the music of Larkin Poe ranges from Folk-Rock to Acoustic R&B, from grooving Jam Band to delicate singer-songwriter – Larkin Poe is versatile, entertaining, and totally authentic in all that they do.

Larkin Poe will be supported by two local singer/songwriters. Polly Money is a 17 year old from Cornwall currently studying at The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance in London. She writes and performs her own music, plays guitar and keys and describes her music as ‘acoustic pop’. Tom James is a singer/guitarist currently based in the southwest and who has been described as “a solo acoustic performer whose mellow and ambient guitar and vocal melodies combine to soothe and enthral.”

Tickets £11 Gates open 7pm. Show starts 7.30pm.

All profits will be going towards the Mylor School Goblin Electric Car Project.
